Reversed Phase
The PRP packing is stable from pH 1 to 13. It is this pH stability that allows a wide range of selectivity unavailable in other columns. Acidic and basic compounds can be analyzed on the same column, by varying the pH of the mobile phase.
The polymeric packing is stable in any concentration of aqueous buffer or organic modifier. The columns outlast competitive products, so they cost less to use.
All PRP columns are made of poly (styrene-divinyl benzene) and contain no silanol groups. Silanol groups present on silica-based columns can cause irreversible adsorption and poor sample recovery.
PRP columns are stable up to 5000 psi, for higher flow rates and quicker analyses.
